Five New HD Channels Launching

Versus HD, Speed HD, Golf Channel HD, Cartoon Network HD and Fox News Channel HD are scheduled to be launched on the Bright House Networks digital system soon; Versus HD and Cartoon Network HD launched on July 24th, while the others are set to go live within weeks. All new HD channels will be available to Bright House Networks digital customers on the company’s Free HDTV Tier.

Versus HD is a 1080p high-definition simulcast of Versus that launched in 2007. Previously launched as the Outdoor Life Network in 1995 to air fishing, hunting and related outdoor sports programming, today Versus telecasts football, basketball, baseball, bike racing, hockey, Olympic sports and combat sports action.

SPEED-HDSPEED HD: Ch. 764
SPEED HD is a 720p high-definition simulcast of SPEED that launched in early 2008. SPEED telecasts coverage of auto racing, from live Formula One racing to NASCAR-related shows. Primarily devoted to auto racing coverage, SPEED is also the exclusive U.S. broadcaster of popular shows “24 Hours of Daytona,” “24 Hours of Le Mans,” “Petit Le Mans,” “NASCAR Sprint Cup All-Star Race” and the “Gatorade Duels at Daytona.”

Cartoon Network HD is a 1080p high-definition simulcast of Cartoon Network. Created by Turner Broadcasting and launched in 1992, Cartoon Network airs animated programming for children and live-action programming, including children’s movies.

Fox News Channel HD is 720p high-definition simulcast of Fox News Channel that launched in 2008. Owned by Fox Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of News Corporation, Fox News Channel is available to more than 100 million households in the U.S. Created in 1996 by Rupert Murdoch and broadcast out of its New York City studios, Fox News Channel airs popular news, analysis and opinion shows including “Fox & Friends,” “America's Newsroom,” “Happening Now,” “The Live Desk,” “Studio B with Sheppard Smith,” “Glenn Beck,” “The O'Reilly Factor,” “Hannity” and “On the Record with Greta Van Sustersen.”

    Caller ID on PC will alert customers on their computers that someone is calling them and who it is, regardless of where they are connected to the Internet. The new function is available exclusively to Bright House Networks Home Phone subscribers at no additional cost.

    Caller ID on PC is part of a new series of features being debuted through the Bright House Networks Easy Gadget platform. Bright House Networks Easy Gadget can be accessed using both Windows and Apple operating systems and combines the benefits of a customer’s bundled high-speed data and phone services, providing them access to features including personalized contacts, recent call history, voicemail on the PC and text messaging.

    Customers can easily and quickly download and install Bright House Networks Easy Gadget with Caller ID on PC at www.brighthouse.com. With Caller ID on PC, Bright House Networks Triple Play customers can now uniquely utilize Caller ID across three platforms – on their phone, TV and computer.
